ARA-290.
An 11-residue synthetic peptide (also called cibinetide) designed from the outer face of helix B of erythropoietin (EPO). It is built to engage the innate repair receptor — a heterodimer of the EPO receptor and the beta-common receptor (CD131) — without the erythropoiesis-stimulating activity of EPO itself. Investigational; developed by Araim Pharmaceuticals.
Erythropoietin is the hormone your kidneys release to signal red-blood-cell production. Researchers found that EPO also engages a separate receptor associated with cellular stress responses; ARA-290 is the fragment engineered to engage only that second receptor, not the one that drives red-cell output.
The hype online runs well ahead of the data. ARA-290 has real Phase-II trials, and those trials are exactly where the honest picture lives — including what has not been shown. That is the twenty-minute read we point to, not the forum summary of it.

Straight talk: ARA-290 is investigational — no FDA approval, Phase-II data published, larger confirmatory trials not done. The receptor pharmacology is genuinely interesting; the outcomes attributed to it online are not what the trials established.
