Cartalax.

A synthetic tripeptide — alanine-glutamic acid-aspartic acid (Ala-Glu-Asp, "AED") — from the Khavinson "bioregulator" series of short peptides whose sequences are drawn from specific tissues. Cartalax's sequence is associated with cartilage-type collagen.

The Khavinson group's premise is that the body uses very short peptides as tissue-specific signals. Cartalax is the synthetic version of one such three-amino-acid sequence, studied as a defined molecule rather than isolated from tissue.

The Khavinson bioregulators carry decades of mostly-Russian literature and a very online following. Separating the cell-culture gene-expression work from the claims layered on top of it is the whole job — and it lives in the primary sources, not the forums.

Straight talk

Straight talk: Cartalax's evidence is preclinical — cell-culture and gene-expression work, no human trials, and no FDA approval. The sequence and chemistry are well defined; the outcomes attributed to it online are not established. Buy on what the third-party COA documents about the vial, not on the bioregulator mystique. Documentation, not adjacency.

What the research studies

The literature, not a summary of it.

The record centers on the Khavinson group's short-peptide and gene-expression work, largely in Russian biochemistry and physiology journals. Read what exists:
