Pinealon.
A synthetic tripeptide — glutamic acid-aspartic acid-arginine (Glu-Asp-Arg, "EDR") — from the Khavinson "bioregulator" series. Its sequence is associated with pineal and cortical tissue.
Same premise as the rest of the Khavinson series — short peptides acting as tissue-specific signals. Pinealon is the synthetic EDR tripeptide researchers study when they want that defined sequence rather than a tissue extract.
Pinealon sits in the "nootropic bioregulator" corner of the internet, where the claims run well ahead of a thin, mostly in-vitro evidence base. The published work — and its limits — is a short read in the primary sources.
Straight talk
Straight talk: Pinealon is preclinical. The published data is largely cell-culture, with one small uncontrolled human cohort and no registered trial, and it is not FDA-approved. The chemistry is defined; the neuro claims made online are not established. Buy on the third-party COA, not on the bioregulator story. Documentation, not adjacency.
What the research studies
The literature, not a summary of it.
The record is the Khavinson group's short-peptide work on neuronal cell cultures and the short-peptide / gene-expression hypothesis, largely in Russian literature. Read what exists:
