Kisspeptin.
A family of peptides (Kisspeptin-54, -14, -13, -10) derived from the KISS1 gene product. Discovered as a metastasis-suppressor gene in 1996, later shown to encode the endogenous ligand of the GPR54/KISS1R receptor and the upstream master regulator of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis. Central hypothalamic role clarified in the early 2000s by de Roux and Seminara.
Your hypothalamus makes kisspeptin. Kisspeptin-releasing neurons synapse onto GnRH neurons and tell them when to fire — every pulse of your reproductive endocrine axis passes through this signal. This is a synthetic version of the same peptide, laboratory-manufactured to a research-grade specification.
Sold with fertility and libido implications the primary literature does not yet substantiate for consumer use. The endocrine biology is real and beautifully mapped. The step from "kisspeptin controls the HPG axis in humans" to "injecting kisspeptin will improve outcomes X, Y, Z in a lay reader" is not established.
Straight talk
Straight talk: kisspeptin's role as an HPG-axis master regulator is textbook endocrinology. Clinical trials in humans exist — Waljit Dhillo's group at Imperial has run several — but the trials are exploratory, dose-finding, or single-condition, not consumer-outcome trials. Injectable kisspeptin as a research chemical is not a validated therapy for anything you are searching this compound for.
